Good Morning App is a simple mood-driven mobile app designed to bring joy and connection to the crypto community. Users can link their social accounts, Metamask wallet, and Discord, then send playful “Good Morning” notifications to friends and community members. The design emphasizes colorful, cheerful mechanics with a smooth and intuitive flow, making sending a greeting feel as engaging as sending a message.
Overview
The app targets crypto-native users who are already active across platforms like Discord, Twitter, and Web3 wallets. It serves as a lightweight social ritual, reinforcing community bonds in a fun and low-pressure way. My role as the UX/UI Designer was to create a vibrant, gamified experience that’s easy to use daily and instantly recognizable within the crypto culture.
Goal
The design goals for Good Morning App included:
Enable quick, playful daily interactions between community members
Create a colorful, fun interface that sparks positive emotions
Support multi-platform connections (Discord, Twitter, Metamask, etc.)
Build an experience that feels crypto-native but friendly to newcomers
Encourage habitual use through delightful visuals and mechanics
Problem
Crypto communities are highly active online but often lack lightweight, positive ways to interact daily outside of discussions or trading. Traditional apps are too formal, while existing community platforms don’t emphasize mood or fun. The challenge was to design a dedicated app for playful engagement that bridges the gap between Web3 functionality and social connection.
Process
Research & Problem Definition
We identified that many crypto users share “GM” (Good Morning) messages as a community ritual on Twitter and Discord. The insight was to turn this behavior into a standalone mobile app, simplifying and gamifying the process.
Competitive Analysis
We explored existing social/messaging apps and crypto-native platforms. While they supported communication, none offered a lightweight, mood-first ritual. This gave Good Morning App a unique cultural niche.
Design Approach
The app was designed around playful mechanics and vibrant visuals:
Cheerful onboarding to match user mood (e.g., “Noob” or experienced)
Social integrations with Discord, Twitter, and Metamask for easy friend import
Simple “Send GM” flow with options to send to individuals or groups
Playful emojis and animations to reinforce the cheerful experience
Clean, colorful UI that’s approachable, energetic, and memorable
Reflection
Good Morning App turns a simple social ritual into a fun, daily interaction for crypto communities. By combining playful design, multi-platform integration, and a light mood-first approach, the app encourages users to connect with each other in a positive, low-effort way. For me, this project highlighted how cultural insights from online communities can be translated into engaging product experiences with strong emotional resonance.
